Mr. Richard Philbrook is the Band and Choir teacher at Wabaunsee High School. He has been teaching at WHS since 2007, but has been teaching since 1976. His education includes a Bachelor in Music Education and a Master in Music Education. He would like to be remembered as someone who cared. He grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Mr. Danny Davis teaches Intro to Ag., Animal Science, Horticulture, Research in Ag., Ag. Mechanics and Advanced Ag. Mechanics. He has been teaching since 2000 and has been here at WHS since 2006. He is a graduate of K-State University where he also received his masters degree. Mr. Davis would like to be remembered as a good father, husband, and educator who made learning enjoyable. He grew up in Rossville, KS.
Mrs. Carol Cook is the Reading, English, Spelling, Social Studies, Art and VPL teacher at MCVMS. She started to teach in 1991 at Maple Hill, started to teach at MCVMS in 1994. She has a Bachelors Degree in Education from Highland, Kansas State University, and Washburn University. She would like to be remembered as a person who cares, a loving wife, a loving mother, and a loving grandmother. She was born in Topeka, Kansas.
Miss Dawn Zeller is a Para-educator at MCVMS/JH. She was raised in Paxico, Kansas and attended Emporia State University, where she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Educations. She would like to be remembered as someone who really cared about people and loved family.

Mrs. Cheryl Zeller is the Head secretary for MCV MS/JH. She has worked in this district since 1984 Mrs. Cheryl Zeller would like to be remembered as a kind, hardworking person with a good sense of humor. She was born in Topeka, Kansas.

Mrs. Amy Wilson teaches grades 5-8 and Physical Education. She was born Salina, Kansas but raised in Miltonvale. She’s been teaching since 1999 and began teaching at MCV MS/JH in 2007. She gained her education from Bethany College. She would like to be remembered as a loving mom and wife.

Mrs. Rosalie Wike is the Secretary and Librarian/Media Tech at MCVMS. She’s worked at MCVMS since 2008. Mrs. Wike would like to be remembered as a good person who had many friends and loved her job and did her job well. She was born in Wamego, Kansas.

Mrs. Debra Thierer teaches Math, Reading, English, Study Skills, in the Resource Room at MCVJH. She was born in Topeka, Kansas but raised in the Marysville area. Mrs. Thierer has been at District MCVJH since 2007. She has a BS and MS from K-State. Mrs. Thierer would like to be remembered as a kind, caring person.

Mrs. Tamzen Steege is the Custodian for MSVMS. She has been a custodian since 2005. She was raised at Clay Center, Kansas. She would like to be remembered as a hard working, friendly, helpful and someone to listen.

Ms. April Ogden teaches 7th-8th Science, Outdoor Skills, Careers, and Fitness.  MS. Ogden started teaching in 1995 and started teaching at MCVJH in 2009. She got her Degree in Recreational Administration with a Minor in Biology. She went back to school, earning her teaching degree.  She attended Barton County Community College (2 years), Pittsburg State (3 years), and Kansas Wesleyan (1 ½ years) Ms. Ogden would like to be remembered as someone who brought a smile to a person’s face when no one else would. She was born in Salina, Kansas.

Mrs. Bobbi Murray is the 5th grade Math, Science, Social Studies teacher. She was raised in Oberlin, Kansas. She has her Bachelors degree and is working on her Masters. Her schooling includes Colby Community College, Emporia State University, and Kansas State University. Mrs. Murray would like to be remembered as someone who truly cared and made a positive impact on others lives…no matter if she was their parent, daughter, teacher, fried, coach, acquaintance, etc.

Mrs. Cleion Morton is the Principal of MCVMS and MCVJH. Mrs. Morton was raised in Junction City, Kansas. She has a Bachelor in Secondary Education from KSU Speech, Drama and Language Arts. She’s certified to teach grades 5-12 in Language Arts. Mrs. Morton also has a Masters in Educational Administration and Leadership from K-State. Mrs. Morton would like to be remembered as a person of faith who walked the talk and lived passionately to make a positive difference in the lives of other.
Mrs. Claudia Marlene McKinsey is the Art teacher for the Elementary and Junior High and the Title 1 Reading teacher at Maple Hill. She attended Kansas State University to obtain a B.S. and M.A. Mrs. McKinsey would like to be remembered as a Christian; as a good mother, grandmother, energetic, compassionate teacher, as a person talented in the arts, and as a person with a sense of humor. She was born in Corning, Kansas.
Mrs. Jeanette Loughary is a Library Media Tech at MCVJH. She has been with MCVJH for 20 years. She was born in Wamego, Kansas and wants to be remembered as a nice, friendly lady.
Mrs. Anita Hurla is a Para educator at MCVMS. She helps special education students. Mrs. Anita Hurla has been teaching at MCVMS since 2004 and wants to be remembered as being a Christian, one who served others above self, that she made a difference in her family and the kids she worked with.
Mrs. Melissa Huff is a Special Education Teacher at MCVMS. She helps the special education students. Mrs. Huff has been teaching at MCVMS since 2004. She has a Bachelors degree in Science, Elementary Education and Masters in Special Education from Cloud County Community College and Kansas State University. Mrs. Huff wants to be remembered as a Passionate and caring that’s always there to listen. She was born in Wichita, Kansas.

Mr. Joey Heersche is the 7th and 8th Math, Physical Education, Computer Applications, Weights, and Study Hall teacher at MCVJH. He has been teaching at MCVJH since 2008. He has a Bachelors of Science from  Kansas State University. Mr. Heersche would like to be remembered as a person of integrity. He grew up in Mulvane, Kansas.

Mrs. Jamie Hafenstine is the 7th and 8th grade English and 7th grade Study Skills teacher at MCVJH. She has been teaching at MCVJH since 2005. She has a Bachelors of Education in Elementary Education from Washburn University. She would like to be remembered as a caring person who was always willing to help others. She was born in Manhattan, Kansas.
Mr. Don Ginavan is the Reading teacher at the MCVJH. He has been teaching at MCVJH since 1981. He has a Bachelors of Science Education and a Masters in Administration from Emporia State and Washburn University. Mr. Don Ginavian would like to be remembered as someone who cared to make a difference. He was born in Topeka, Kansas.
Mr. Bill Flannigan is the Speech-Language Pathologist at MCVMS and MCVJH. He has been with the district since 2010. He has a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education from Emporia State, a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Kansas State University, and a Ph.D. in Special Education Administration. He would like to be remembered as a kind and caring person who enjoyed working with students and sought to make their lives richer. He was born in Topeka, Kansas.
Mrs. Lydia Drennon is a Cook at MCVJH and MCVMS. She went to College at Emporia State University and Kansas State University. She would like to be remembered as shy and out going. She was born in Alta Vista, Kansas.

Mrs. Haley Dean is the Kansas History and US History teacher at MCVJH. She started to teach at MCVJH in 2009. She has a History Major and Political Science Minor from Kansas State and Washburn University. She would like to be remembered as someone who is positive. She was born in Chanute, Kansas.

 Ms. Pam Bales is the 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at MCVMS. She started to teach at MCVMS in 1974. She has a Bachelors Degree in Education and Spanish and a Masters Degree in Library Science. She attended Kansas State Teacher’s college, which is now Emporia State University. She would like to be remembered as someone who tried to do her best to help others and support others in their endeavors. She was born in Greensburg, Kansas, and raised in Pratt.
