Annual Soup Supper

A possible cold front's supposed to be on the horizon for tomorrow. Just in time for Wabaunsee Booster Club's annual soup supper. We'll be serving hot homemade chili and chicken noodle soup at tomorrow night's Winter Royalty basketball games. Serving starts at 5 and will go until all of the soup's gone so come early. Brownies, cookies or cinnamon rolls, drinks and veggies will be included. Free will donation will be asked. The money the booster club raises goes to support our students and their activities.

Other activities going on throughout the night: Booster club clothing sales; Booster club Chargers of the Game introductions at the girl's halftime; Steve Murray Hall of Fame induction before the boy's game; and Winter Royalty crowning during the boy's halftime...and of course the ballgame against the Rossville Dawgs.

Come out for an evening of fun and to support our Wabaunsee Charger students!

State Assessment Results
Preliminary results are in from the State Assessments and they look great for USD 329! This year we had 90.4% of students pass the Reading test and 92.0% passed the Math test. Both results exceed the requirements set by the No Child Left Behind Act, which set minimums of 86.0% and 82.3% respectively, and were the highest scores ever for USD 329 since the current testing format was adopted 8 years ago. Even more impressively, each grade level tested met the Standard of Excellence set by the state of Kansas! Results will not be considered final until this fall, but any changes to the scores are expected to have a positive effect.
