National Honor Society was started in 1921, as an organization whose intent is to recognize middle and high school students who show achievement in scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

There are certain standards that the members of NHS have to achieve at Wabaunsee High. Members must maintain a 3.5 GPA averagely, show good leadership skills, be involved in community service, and stay out of trouble.You can apply at the end of your sophomore year. Applicants are selected by a panel of teachers.
