Building Report Card Information

Since 2015 the Kansas Department of Education (KSDE) has measured Graduation Rates, Success and Effective Rates through the Kansas Building Report Card. Wabaunsee graduates lead the league and area schools.  In fact, our graduates are approaching the KSDE goals of leading the world!

Our graduation rate averages 99%, the state goal is to average 95% to lead the world.  Our success rate is based upon graduates meeting the following criteria:

  1. Student earned an Industry Recognized Certification while in High School
  2. Student earned a Postsecondary Certificate-CNA, plumbing/electrical license
  3. Student earned a Postsecondary Degree-Associate, Bachelors degrees
  4. Student enrolled in Postsecondary in both the first and second year following High School graduation-community colleges, jucos, colleges or universities

Our success rate is 69.2%, approaching the state/world leading 70% goal.  Since 2013 our success rate has increased 68%, over 37% higher increases as compared to league and area schools!

The effective rate is based upon graduation rate times success rate.  Our effective rate is 67.5%, again approaching the state/world leading goal of 70%.  Since 2013 our effective rate has increased 63.8%, over 32% better than league and area schools!

These increases and percentages of graduates who are successful and effective are INCREDIBLE!  As a district we have a moral and legal responsibility to ensure our graduates are successful/effective.  Unequivocally, we can show that our students, teachers, staff and parents are preparing our students!  This is a HUGE win-win for all involved!

Our district's commitment to our The Leader in Me program provides our students a model to be successful and effective.  #chargerpride!
