On Friday, July 14, 2023, Lanson and Rhett Parry performed in the Summer KCDA Tenor/Bass Choir at Grace Cathedral in Topeka. Lanson was recognized for participating in this choir all four years of high school. The choir was directed by Dr. Gary Packwood, director of choral studies at Mississippi State University.
