Recently, Mrs. Lucy Burdiek (Alma Afternoon Preschool Teacher) was contacted by a parent, Samantha Meseke, about the possibility of receiving back-to-school supplies and resources for the preschool classroom. Samantha's son, Crossyn, will celebrate his first day as a Preschool Charger on Wednesday, August 17th. Samantha works for the MCP Group, a general contractor company, located in Topeka. Each year, the company has a back-to-school drive. Additionally, they purchase items from wish lists for educators in and around the Topeka area. The company strives to impact the children in Topeka and surrounding areas, especially in schools where MCP employees' children attend.
We are very appreciative of the MCP Groups' kindness and generosity. Three MCP employees dropped the resources off on Tuesday, August 9. Unfortunately, Samantha Meseke was not able to attend. I'm looking forward to seeing the children explore and play with the Emotional Learning Shatterproof Mirrors, Counting Peg Board, Magnetic Wooden Alphabet Fish Pond, Learning Math Locks, Wooden Balance Stones, and the Learning Resources Farmer's Market Color Sort.
