March 27th at 6:00pm in the WHS Commons the BOE will hold a Public Hearing for the closure of Maple Hill Elementary School.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given pursuant to K.S.A. 72-1431, of a public hearing to be held on the 27th day of
March 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the WHS commons regarding the Unified School District No. 329,
Wabaunsee County, Kansas proposal to close Maple Hill Elementary for the following reasons:
● Reduce operational costs for USD 329 in the form of operational costs, utilities, and
maintenance
● Consolidate resources to improve efficiency in program delivery to USD 329 students
Students attending Maple Hill Elementary will be reassigned to Alma Elementary School.
A representative of the board of education will present the proposal to close Maple Hill Elementary, and the board will hear testimony as to the advisability of the proposed closing.
