Wabaunsee High School’s 50th Homecoming week will kick off Sunday, September 24th. Window painting will be downtown on Sunday from 1:00-3:00. Each class will paint a window. The school week will start off with a spirit day each day with Barbie as the theme. The days are Monday - MoJo DoJo Casa (Cowboy/Western), Tuesday - Sleepover Barbie (PJ Day), Wednesday - Barbieland (Pink Pink Pink!), Thursday - Dress as Your Ken/Barbie (Dress as your Type), and Friday - Real World Barbie (Freshmen-red, Sophomores-black, Juniors-blue, Seniors-white). Junior Varsity Football will play St. Marys at home at 6:00 pm. Varsity Tennis will compete at Chapman and Volleyball at home against St. Marys on Tuesday. Wednesday a parade will be held downtown at 6:15 pm followed by activities at the football field. Junior High football will play at home against Mission Valley and Junior High Cross Country will run at Council Grove on Thursday. On Friday, September 29th there will be a pep rally at 2:00 at the high school. Friday evening will start with the crowning before the football game at 6:20. The football team will play Republic County at 7:00. A high school dance will be on Saturday from 8:00 - 10:00 pm.
This is Wabaunsee’s 50th Homecoming! We would like to invite the 1974-2022 Homecoming King and Queen’s back for Friday night’s game. Each will receive free admission to the game! Names will be listed at a later date. Here is a LIST of past kings and queens we could find from old yearbooks.
