Six Wabaunsee high school band students attended the 30th Annual K-State Concert Band Clinic this last weekend in Manhattan. Seniors AJ Grutsch, Austin Spellman, juniors Matthew Vanstory, Heather Baker and freshmen Mya Huske and Macy Alderman participated. Friday after school the students traveled to McCain Auditorium on the K-State campus where they auditioned and were placed in one of six bands. They then rehearsed Friday evening and all day Saturday before performing in a concert on Sunday afternoon. The clinic was a great opportunity for students to play in a large band with all of the instruments and meet other youngsters their age with the same interests.
