THIS WEEK: EPA Administrator Regan to Visit Kansas to Highlight President Biden’s Historic Investments in America

On Wednesday, Administrator to visit Wabaunsee Senior High School in Alma to highlight delivery of Kansas’ first electric school buses, funded by Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

On Thursday, Administrator to visit Guetterman Brothers Family Farm in Bucyrus to discuss efforts to tackle climate change and accelerate a resilient agriculture system

WASHINGTON (Feb. 7, 2023) – This week, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael S. Regan will travel to Kansas following President Biden’s State of the Union address to highlight the President’s historic investments in America, delivering environmental and economic benefits for families too often left behind.

Additional logistical details are listed below for each event.

NOTE: Reporters attending in person are encouraged to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of each event.

Wednesday, February 8 – Alma, KS

On Wednesday, February 8 at 1:00 PM, at Wabaunsee Senior High School, Administrator Regan will join students, school officials, electric utility leaders and advocates to discuss the transition to a zero-emissions future. During the visit, Administrator Regan will join students for an electric school bus ride, participate in a roundtable conversation with school officials and utility representatives, and deliver remarks in front of an electric school bus.

Administrator Regan will be available for questions from press following remarks. All portions of the event are open press. Space on the bus ride is limited and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
