Subject: Update on School Safety and Operations
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide you with an important update regarding the safety of our school environment.
Recently, there was a situation involving a staff member who left for medical treatment and was found with elevated CO levels. As soon as this was brought to our attention, we took immediate action to thoroughly investigate all of the school premises, working closely with professionals, including the Alma Fire Department.
I am pleased to inform you that after a comprehensive assessment, only trace amounts of CO were detected, well below what is considered normal for a well-ventilated home. Furthermore, we have CO monitors installed throughout the building, which will undergo regular checks and, if necessary, replacements to ensure continuous monitoring.
Please rest assured that the safety and well-being of our students and staff are of utmost importance to us. With the confirmation from the authorities and our proactive measures in place, I want to assure you that the school has been deemed safe for regular operations tomorrow.
Your trust in our school community is deeply valued, and we want to assure you that we are committed to maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for your children.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We appreciate your understanding and support as we prioritize the safety of our school community.
Warm regards,
Robert Schawo
Elementary Principal
