USD 329 Families: School is canceled tomorrow, Monday, January 26th, due to unsafe weather conditions. Morning temperatures will be -8°F to -4°F with wind chills near -20°F. These extreme conditions create serious concerns: frostbite risk for students at bus stops, and black ice on our rural roads as overnight temperatures refreeze moisture left from snow removal. With many of our routes on county roads, conditions will be treacherous for bus travel - and dangerous for families traveling to school or activities as well. Your children's safety is always our first priority, and we want everyone in our community to stay safe. I know this creates challenges for families, and I truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility in making alternative plans. Girls 🏀 FHL second round results: Chargers win over Lyndon, 43-32; will play Mission Valley on Friday at 6:00 pm

Boys 🏀 FHL second round results: Chargers win a close one over Mission Valley, 58-57; will play Chase County on Friday at 1:30 pm

UPDATE: Girls wrestling Saturday at Council Grove has been moved to Monday, January 26 and will start at 3:00 pm due to the predicted weather

With the forecast calling for some extreme cold tomorrow and throughout the school day, please make sure our students are bundled up in their warmest layers, heavy coats, hats, and gloves.

Whether they are waiting at the bus stop in Alma, McFarland, Maple Hill, or Paxico, we want to ensure every one of our kiddos stays safe, warm, and cozy. Stay tucked in tonight, and we look forward to seeing everyone (extra bundled!) in the morning.
